Certain strains of HPV have been known to cause cancer.
Itching or warts
Most HPV strains do not show symptoms until it develops into things like warts, or maybe cancer.
There is no cure for HPV but in most cases it goes away on its own if one has a strong immune system.
There is a vaccine available for girls aged 9 –14 years.
Women are advised to go for cervical cancer screen at least once a year for early detection and treatment.
